Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Specially manufactured items
We manufacture custom light gauge steel trusses for commercial construction jobs. Our contract with customers states payment due on receipt of entire order. How long do they have to inspect the materials? Can we have the truck driver collect a check for total invoices upon delivery or do they have a grace period to inspect materials?
Thanks,
Brad

Re: Specially manufactured items
The buyer always has a reasonable time to inspect the goods. What's reasonable becomes a fact question.
If the contract says due on delivery, you could send it C.O.D. and let them inspect the goods on the carrier.
