Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Standard legal documents for new professional photographers

I am new to the professional photography world. I do architectural photography but have not sold it to a firm yet. I have recently been asked how I would handle my rights and contracts. I wasn't sure how to answer that because I haven't been able to find out how I should do so since I haven't been able to counsel with an attorney about it. Can you advise me on all of the legal documentation that freelance professional phtographers should have at the beginning of their practice? Thank you so much! I appreciate your help.

Re: Standard legal documents for new professional photographers

In general you should copyright your photos which then gives you the right to do with them as you please, including suing others who use your photos without your permission. You'll also need licensing agreements to identify which photos you are allowing to be used, and how the user will reimburse you for that use.

Those are the two key items if you expect to make money.
