Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I am starting my own website. I have already purchased the domain name but am wondering if I need to take any legal action to protect it. For example, do I need to set up a business entity? Or can I just start looking for Web Designers to help me put it together? If that's the case, do I have any legal protection from them just stealing my idea?

As a franchise attorney I can say if you purchased the domain name and registered it, you have protected your domain name. As far as stealing your idea, what idea are you referring to? Web designers don't need to know the secret sauce of how a business operates to design a website. And once they design it and your online, whatever is on the website is public domain essentially. You can consider using a nondisclosure agreement with the designers, but more details are needed. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
