Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Stolen Confidential Information

My previous employer fired me about 4 months ago, after those 4 months one of their customers came and offered me a job. I took it and information that I look up on the website (since I know the vendors) gave it to him. Now I get a letter from his lawyer that I am giving confidential information about his company. All those vendors are on ALIBABA and are accessible to everyone! I never signed a confidential agreement nor was I asked to sign one when they dismissed me. Should I get a lawyer?

Re: Stolen Confidential Information

If it were me, I wouldn't worry to much about it until you get the lawsuit. Then, you will need the lawyer. I don't know if that is legal advice or personal advice. Take it for what it's worth.

Re: Stolen Confidential Information

I would suggest at least speaking with a lawyer concerning the details. The accusation is serious, but a lawyer may be able to defuse it.
