Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

How to stop a Judgement

My boss had a business that was incorporation and it was closed at the end of 2004. He opened a sole prop. in January of 2005 in a different location. This year a paint company filed suit for paint supplies against the closed corp. We were not aware of any outstanding debts with this co. because we paid for materials cod. Anyway, the atty supposed to be handling this left the firm for another job and this suit was forgotten about because she did not get this info into a file. Long story short, case was not disputed and a judgement was issued. We were notified when the county constable showed up with the judgement. What can we do? The corporation is closed and they are trying to collect on the judgement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
