I have been Subpoenaed

I have been notified of a subpoena to be issued to me for an incident that took place aproximatly two months ago. At the time I was in the marker for genereal contrator due to Hurricane Ike. the GC i was looking into had provided me with a list of references. just as i was about to make a final deceision, one of the referneces notified me that the GC was not a good idea... after hearing this i turned down the bid and now I am being subpoenaed. Can He do that? and do I need a laywer?

Re: I have been Subpoenaed

Based on what you have written, it is always a good idea to talk and discuss your options with a law firm. Receiving a subpoena means that there is active litigation on some issue and you have been called to provide testimony. Dependent upon the nature of the active lawsuit may or may not have any effect/implication upon you and your business. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Tina ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.
