Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Theft of money & company assets

I have a small company. A driver, me & my wife are the only employees. My wife took care of all the finances. I recently discovered a large amount of money has been disappeared over the past several months. When I confronted my wife with my findings she drained the account of the remaining money & took a company computer. She took a few belongings & is staying with her parents. What recourse do I legally have?

Mr. Grissom is correct. Make a decision one way or the other and live with it. Personally, I'd file theft charges and use it for leverage. Just don't threaten criminal prosecution because that would be a crime she could report you for. Do it or don't.

File theft charges. File for divorce seeking reimbursement of community property. Or chalk it up to bad experience. ood Luck.
