Underwriting Contracts

After forming a partnership is there a way to underwrite the partnership, naming one partner as the owner which supersedes the original partnership.

Not really. You'd have to dissolve the partnership and have the 'owner' buy out the other partner. The alternative, if one is staying in as strictly a moneyman, would be to form a limited partnership with the moneyman as the limited partner, and the active partner as the operating partner.
