Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Unethical practice overseas investment manager/ Financial Institution.

While I was working overseas, I was approached by a financial representative from a British Financial Institute and was lured into hiring them to manage my money through investment. The contract was signed and I was introduced to the overseas account investment.

I was not please with their service, including dishonesty, thus I requested to terminate our business association together. Upon my agreement with them, I have complied with the proper steps to end our association and have my money returned to me. Unfortunately, they had taken advantage of my distance and had minimize, if not terminated, our communication. I fear that they had swindled me of my hard earned money.

Are my hands tied or can I sue for fraud or atleast for my money.

Could you help me.

Re: Unethical practice overseas investment manager/ Financial Institution.

Since the investment firm is a foreign concern and your dealings with them took place out of this country, unless the firm is doing business in the US you are required to pursue them in the UK where they reside.

If they are not registered in the US, contact a solicitor in the UK for further advice. They are online.
