Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Unfair Business Practices
I am an authorized FedEx shipper. FedEx calls my clients from contact numbers I am required to place on the label. FedEx offers my clients to open FedEx accounts. This takes all my profit for future shipments. Is this legal and is there anything I can do about it? My FedEx rep has admitted it is FedEx Sales that is doing it but there is nothing he can do.

You'll have to study your agreement with FEDEX. If it silent on this question or says they are not going to do it, then you might have a good case. If you want me to look at the contract send me a copy by email.
Re: Unfair Business Practices
Based on what you have written, you would need to go back to the agreement between you and FedEx. The agreement may state what FedEx can do with the clients contact information or the agreement may be silent on the subject.
