Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
unfair trade practices
is it against any law that a company, lets call that company a has a purching company and is contracted to company b to appove prices and keep track of company b's vehicle repair expensives. company a also owns a repair facility that repairs company b's vehicles. so company b brings in vehicle and company a calls company a for price approval of repairs. for competion purposes, company a has all prices ever spent on company b's vehicles. this leads to price gouging and unfair competion for other repair shops without the history of prices approved by company. all other repair shops have to call company a and give their prices for approvals for the business on company b's vehicles. Ttherfore company a has the repair bids to turn over to company a's repair shop. not sure if its against the law for company a to do this, other than company b is not very smart. this practice has just about put me out of business. both company a and b are large corps.
