Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Will company policy apply?
I have been activated back into the Army as an Active Duty Reservist. My companies current policy is if you are called back into the Army they will compensate the difference of your salary versus taxable income made from the military for up to 60 months. I have only worked for them for a couple of days and I'm scheduled to report for military duty on the 9th of July. Is there any way they can fire me (I don't believe so with the Soldiers Service Act). Or can they find a way to get out of paying me my salary for the time spent on active duty?

Re: Will company policy apply?
I would expect company policy to apply. However, all I know about the company policy is what you've told me so there may be exceptions to that policy within the rest of the policy manual. Check with Human Resources, or Personnel.
