Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Use of the word ''Engineering'' naming a sole prop.

In naming a sole proprietership may one use the word ''Engineering'' without having degreed engineers on staff? Are Certifications by professional societies acceptable in lieu of a degree? (not prefered just acceptable) e.g. ''John Smith Engineering Services''

This may be violative of the Texas Engineering Practice Act. There is a Texas Board of Professional Engineers that has the responsibility of enforcing the use of the name Engineering with one who is not properly licensed.
