Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I am young entrepreneur starting an internet based business (T-shirts). I am curious (as I am fairly new to Texas). Do I need any licensing, permits, tax i.d numbers etc... In order to legally operate my business although it will be strictly operate online? (at least at the beginning)

If your business is operated out of the state of Texas then you need the license. Whether it is an internet or regular business does not make much of a difference. In regards to some of the other things it depends on what your specific jurisdiction requires as well as what business entity you have. If you have a sole proprietorship, which I strongly recommend not having, then you probably have fewer things you need to get. If you have an LLP, Corp, or LLC then you have more forms to fill out but they protect your business and assets in the long run.
