Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
My 32 year old son was injured when he was attached by 2 other men. He fought back. The chief of police of this small town said all three men gave different stories and he could not believe any of them.
My question is this. Is it legal or ethical for the chief of police to tell you that if your son would move out of town he would not press charges.

Forget this ignorant police chief. Forget about moving out of town. Forget about the criminal justice system. Your son should SUE these two thugs for personal injury (in CIVIL court) where HE controls the case.
