Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Answering to a Private Inspector/Detective
I was wondering if when private inspectors or private detectives comes to your home or want to meet with you, are you required to answer their questions and can they search and/or seize your possessions?

Re: Answering to a Private Inspector/Detective
You do not have to answer any questions from private investigators, nor do they have the power to come into your home and take any of your property.
If they are hassling you and they will not leave you alone simply call the police.
Sincerely,
