Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Can ATF notify my employer of investigation?
My home was searched by the FBI, DEA, & ATF due to the presence of a friend they had been watching. They seized nothing except some of his personal belongings. My employer was contacted by an ATF agent and informed them that I was under investigation for having a meth-lab in my home. Isn't that a violation of my civil rights? I have been charged with NOTHING, yet they are jeopardizing my job. Aren't there laws to protect a persons confidentiality until they have been convicted of or even charged with a crime?
