Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
I was in a three car accident and not insured on the vehicle I was driving. The vehicle stalled as I was exiting and a car hit me and another car hit him. One of the drivers filed a judgement on me for 15,000.00 and the judge granted it because I didnt show up for court. I was never served papers. Is this legal?

Go look at the court's file. There will probably be a "return of service" showing that you WERE served (even though you know you weren't).
If it's been less than 30 days since the judgment was granted, you can file a notice of appeal.
