Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
civil lawsuit
My daughter age 29, was deeply depressed and was seeing older married man. He was very much aware of her state of mind, and she supposedly commited suicide at his country home 1 year ago, with his shotgun. Is there any legal recourse that I can take against him or his homeowners insurance and what are the state statue of limitations as far as filing lawsuit. She left behind a 12 year old son, who I now have legal custody of and am raising.

Re: civil lawsuit
yes...he may be liable for negligence..etc..and homeowners or other liability insurance may be available. Before we would take it would depend on many factors...basically the background of the 29 year old, the married man, the amount of homeowners insurance...etc..
