Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
contract question
I have a Deer Lease Contract in which the property owner is claiming to never have seen or agreed to now that he is required to refund some of our money. He not only authored the contract but also cashed our checks before the season. There's not a place on the agreement for his signature.
Does the fact that he endorsed and cashed our checks mean he agreed to the contract?
Can you please supply the legal terms/verbage supporting my case?

Re: contract question
Cashing the check is usually enough to prove he agreed to the contract. If he took any other actions which indicate he agreed to the contract, such as letting you onto the property or providing you with a key to the property, that will help prove the agreement also. This is basic contract law that doesn't actually have any statutory authority but is completely enforceable none the less. I hope this helps!
