what happens if a dealership sells me a lemon vehicle

You didn't tell us if it was anew vehicle or a used one. I assume it was a used vehicle.
You need to read the paperwork that you were given at the time of the sale (especially anything that you SIGNED).
Usually the dealer includes a statement of "AS IS - NO WARRANTY." This means that you can't complain about the car being a "lemon."
If you didn't sign such a statement, you may have a lawsuit for breach of contract.
