Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas

what defines harrasement and infringment on personal rights.

There are some people in my apartment complex that are harrassing me and causing me mental and financial anguish. Are they within the law to do this. They slander and listen to my telephone conversations with a scanner. They watch my apartment constantly. They have broke in to my apartement and tried to enter my computer. what can I do to make them stop. I am moving but I would like to sue them for damages. They forced me to move into a new apartment which damages me financially and mentally I feel threatened and they have even compromised my job. thank you.

Re: what defines harrasement and infringment on personal rights.

1. Check with your DA about stalking/harassing laws.

2. Check with a personal injury attorney in your area concerning a civil suit for damages for their behavior.

3. Don't be discouraged if you are told you lack sufficient evidence on both counts. He said/she said won't get it. You may have to video tape or audio tape or both.
