Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
electric companies liability for fire damage
A downed power line started a fire which destroyed our well house, melted half my car and an enclosed trailer and motorcycle. Is the elcetric company responsible for the replacement or repair of my things?

Re: electric companies liability for fire damage
Hello there,
The electric company is responsible under the circumstances you describe. You need to start a list of items that were destroyed in the fire and make a claim against the electrical company for your loses.
If they do not cooperate with your hire an attorney.
Sincerely,
