Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
family violence
I encountered injury due to a mental distrub relative. I have no insurance to pay for medical bills. Criminal Charges are pending but am I able to file a law suit against this person wages to cover medical bills. If there are not working It is possible to get a judgement to do so when they become employed

You can go to a JP/Small Claims Court for damages under 10k..and if the defendant lived in a house with homeonwers insurance, you may be able to collect damages..but obviously if there are no assets..you will have a judgment but no collection..
