Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas

Gender Discrimination

I am a female who was given doctors orders not to work over 8 hrs a day due to a medical condition requested to go part-time, eventually let me go part-time then fired me a month and a half later due to the best interest of the company scheduling. They allowed 4 males to have reduced hours or go part-time due to various reasons and didnt have a problem with their scheduling. One of the males requested reduced hours (30) to keep his medical benefits and they accommodated him. I also requested this before instead of part-time and lost benefits but denied this to me because they said it would be easier to accommodate my 8 hr limit if i went part-time and they had no full-time openings. Then within the next 1 1/2 months they hired 3 more full-time employees, would it be gender discrimination for accommodating the men for reduced hours but no longer wanting to accomodate me?
