Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas

gross negligence?
I had a neighbor watch my animals while on vacation. I had explicit explanation to keep the dogs from the cats. I had it written along with showing him visually and verbally how the gate worked and the purpose for the gate. We have a kiddie gate to separate the cats or can shut the bedroom door while the dogs are out of the kennel. I told him this several times. The guy refused to use the kiddie gate and our larger dog got a hold of my cat and killed it along with the cat biting the guy and scratching him. He's trying to sue us for his medical bills. He refused to follow instructions an didn't even lock the house up. I had a friend find the house in the state he had left it. Does he have a leg to stand on to sue?

If you have homeowners insurance..turn it over to them and it DOES not affect your rates...
