Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
holding title for a vehicle who is at liabilty
recently sold and carried a note on a older car-did not put a lein on title-still registered in my name- insurance co told me i would be held responsible if girl has accident and could be sued. am i liable because of title being in my name- how do i get myself removed from being liable. girl will not give car back or return phone calls-never made a payment- filed in small claims court but looking at 10 days at least for any answers-very worried over the liabilty issue

Re: holding title for a vehicle who is at liabilty
Since the car is registered in your name you are eligible to re-take possession of it provided you can do so without a breach of the peace. There is no other easy answer to your liability problem.
