Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Home Owner's Right
Do I have a right to install a security wire/fence with sharp edges in my own backyard to prevent the burglar to climb over to my backyard? If the neighborhood kids climb and get hurt, am I responsible for them?
Thank you.

Re: Home Owner's Right
You have the right to put up a barbed wire fence.
However, do it in a manner that is visible to people. If they just hop the fence and get all entangled and severely injured then they could sue you.
I remember a case where an individual used electricity and the person died. Then the family sued and got a judgment against the homeowner.
You have a right to protect your home just don't go crazy using things that could severely harm or kill someone.
