Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Home Owners Policy
My husband shot and killed a burglar coming into our home while we were asleep (around 2:00 a.m.). My husband was no billed by a grand jury. Now the burglar's family is suing us for neglegance. Would this fall under our Home Owners Insurance to protect us? Can my husband be sued for protecting his family? (The man was intoxicated,on drugs and in our secured yard).

Maybe. Read the policy carefully before contacting the insurance agent.
