Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
homeowner association violations
My homeowners association is telling me I have to remove a gate on the back of my fence that opens to a greenbelt area. The builder installed this fence before our closing.
Also, Can the association be charged for harrassing? Before getting our backyard barbeque area approved they wanted to know the make and model # of the grill we were going to install - no one else has been asked that. They also sent notice of a fine because they saw a stain truck in front of my house and noticed I had not submitted to have any stain work done - I had to go in and dispute it they were ''restaining'' work that had been done and approved 2 years earlier. There are several other similar instances like this. I'm getting worn out!

As a member of a small democracy..you have to fight to keep your rights...HAssoc sounds good but with the power they have..dangerous to one who wants their own home...so go to meetings, get others to join and change their rules..OR SELL AND MOVE...much easier...good luck
