Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
municipal court recordings
The questions is it against the law and my Civil Rights if a bench trial was not recorded . Meaning that the trial was not recorded in any way . Not by tape or video or by person meaning there was no transcription of the trial.
Is it also OK for the person that filed the complaint to be able to leave the court after they have been sworn in and told not to leave to leave and go to get a witness.

Re: municipal court recordings
Most municipal court trials are not recorded in any fashion. This is OK. Litigants who want a record must provide their own in such courts.
A witness who leaves during the trial may run afoul of the judge's ruling, and could be in contempt of court, but has otherwise not done anything legally improper just by going to pick up a witness.
