Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Names
I have two step-daughters. My wife has full legal and physical custody of them. We have produced a music cd and on it we wish to place credits for those that participated, which my daughters did. Their legal name is still their biological father's, but they go by my last name. Can I legally print their name in the creidts with my last name? or, as a hypenate (i.e. smith-jones)?
Thank you

Re: Names
Any person is free to use any name they wish so long as it is not done to defraud another.
If your daughters agree, they are free to be listed using your last name or the hyphenated name at their option.
