Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
if a person is in jail in another county.the police come to your house and ask the persons niece if he is there.the niece tells them he is in jail and they search the house anyway.is that harassment?

I assume that the police had a search warrant. If not, they probably violated the Fourth Amendment, and you could sue them under the Civil Rights Act.
