Property taken and exchanged for store credit
My ex-boyfriend exchanged my clothes for store credit
i have a signed and writtin confession of him saying he did so
i have witnesses to him saying he did it in front of them
i have all receipts to my property
i have witnesses who saw my property in his car last
i also have PLENTY of character witnesses
he was arrested for theft before from his place of employment

Character witnesses and prior theft are not central to the issue, but conversion of your goods is criminal conduct and you should report it to the police.
