My question is if you make a verbal agreement to sell some items to someone and they agree to pay you and then they decide not to pay can I retreive the items that was sold.

Hello there,
Yes, you do have a right to retrieve your property under common law. Under, Texas law you should file a suit in the Justice of the Peace for a right of possession.
