Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
I was selected for jury duty. During the selection process I was never asked if there were any personal reasons why I would not be able to serve, just legal reasons. I have a planned trip to NY that I have already purchased the flight and hotel. Is there anyway to file for an exemption, or something I can do to be excused?

Too late. And, that is not a legal excuse although most lawyers and the judge would have agreed to excuse you.
