Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas

Sexism

I recently applied for employment at a local newspaper office for the position of a photo editor/reporter. The requirements of the job stated that the applicant be thorough in Adobe Photoshop among some other requirements that many only a few in my small town would come close to having. Definetely qualified for the position, I applied... and later went for an interview. Everything went great, and he seemed highly pleased with my skills. He even egged me on about being the chosen one for the job. Later that night; however, I received a call from him stating that he had hired somebody else. Unfortunately, at that time I didn't ask why. I was just in shock. Later that month; however, a friend of one of the current employees at the newspaper office approached me and informed me that they hired a female (just so happens... 95% of the staff is female, except the boss himself, and his right-hand man). She also stated that she had NO experience in Adobe Photoshop or any of the other related requirements.

Now, the hiring process here (at least to me) seems to be based on sexist decisions. I'm just curious to know what my legal rights are, and how hard it would be to prove a case against this firm?
