Statutes of limitations varyk depending upon the claim. In some circumsances, legal action must be initiated in as few as 30 days. In other cases, a suit can be brought 25 years later. There are also a wide variety of other factors, such as when the wrong done was discovered, age of the litigant, etc., as well as prerequisites to filing which sometimes must be fulfilled. You should consult an attorney in your particular situation.
