What are the Supreme Court's ruling on a search incident to citation after handed citation for running a red light?

If the police have finished with the purpose of their stop - for example, stopped for speeding and then issued a traffic citation, the person must be allowed to leave meaning they cannot be held for a drug dog, etc. However, the driver can agree to a search even after the ticket is issued.
