Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas

I am in a chat room on skype all adults a minor being of the age of 10 has come into the room several times is father is aware of it. The room of course is not monitored or censored what so ever. I know we can't control what other adults say. Myself as an adult being in the same room with this minor should something else be said and the minor child repeats it. Can I being in the same chat room get in any trouble

Yes. You should not be in this room with a 10 year old, and it is doubtful you really know the father is aware of it and doubtful that father is much of a father to be allowing this. Here in Illinois you could face criminal charges if anything pornographic or abusive happens. Texas is probably similar, but although licensed in Texas I do not know Texas law on this point. You know better than this or you would not be asking. If you want a reliable answer, call your local prosecuting attorney and ask him if they prosecute cases for that sort of thing or not. The prosecutor is a public servant so he is paid by taxpayers like you to be responsive to your question. Don't let him give you an evasive answer, demand straight talk.
