Defamation/Slander
My ex-spouse fiance' has been stalking me, harrassing me, slandering, defaming, libeling me through her website and her yahoo profile since January 2003. She was sent a cease and desist letter from my husband's pre paid legal service to no avail. I have hard copies of everything that she has said about me. Right now there is an ongoing custody modification so that my ex-spouse can only speak to the children supervised while they are at counseling. They both live in Ohio and I in Texas. This woman has taken on trying to ruin my name as well as my reputation as a parent. I won't go into detail of the many things she has called me. Needless to say I wouldn't even call my dog some of the things she has written about me. I have contacted the local police department and they don't consider her a credible threat because we are 1500 miles away. She has caused me many sleepless nights, tears and anguish I just want her to stop, also I have contacted yahoo and geocities to get them to remove the site they have done nothing. My attorney in Ohio who I have for the modification of custody suggested that I find an attorney to handle this matter of it in a civil manner, As to file a lawsuit against her, yahoo & geocities.

Defamation and slander can be difficult actions but they are not impossible, if you meet all of the requirements.

You said you have copies of everything she said that was negative. What exactly do you have?
