I am helping my wife start a web service business what kind of disclaimer I need

I am helping my wife run a web service business, which has links. The service sells information, what kind of disclaimer need to put on to protect the website from infringes since website has links that take people to different sites?

A disclaimer is only a partial solution. Here is the one I use for disclaiming responsibility for linked sites. http://www.members.tripod.com/burdicklawfirm/webwarn.htm

The first disclaimer applies because I am an attorney. The second and third might fit your site.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Lawguru is getting way behind again and just sent this question to me today, some 6 weeks after you posted your question.

In addition to a disclaimer, your site should not frame the linked site or otherwise display it in such a way as to make it appear to be yours. The question is usually what the reasonably observant user would perceive the facts to be. If you know or have reason to know that the ordinary user will thing the linked site is still yours because of the way you caused it to be displayed, then you may have responsibility notwithstanding your disclaimer. My website www.burdlaw.com posts links without framing so the linked site displays unmodified. Perhaps not the best way for marketing, but certainly best for avoiding liability.
