why is it illeagl to view child porn from the internet

It isn't. It is illegal to own it, produce it, sell it or publish it, because that leads to exploitation of children that can ruin childrens' lives. State and Federal lawmakers think it is damaging to society and should be stopped so they pass laws making it illegal.
