Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas
Internet privacy in the workplace
I quit my job with a company. After I was laready gone from this company, my ex-boss hacked into my my-space account to gain access to my private mail. Is this legal for him to do?

If you mean that your boss used a password left at work to get into your personal email account after you had already left, then that would be invasion of privacy and possilby some other claims could apply. You would need to be able to prove this occurred and not simply strongly suspect or know that it did but lack proof. If so, let me know if you want to do something about it or just move on.

The question is how your myspace account log in information got into your bosses' hands, if you didn't leave it there.
Suspicion that you had uploaded company business to the internet using company computers might have been reason enough to allow it, especially if there was evidence you were using company computers to access myspace, with or without a company purpose.
