Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas
Website Migration
Hello,
I migrated a website for a company from one webhost to another. After the work was completed, I told the client he had 60 days to pay. It has been over 3 months and I still have not received payment for my work and don't know if I will. I did not have the client sign a contract, but I do have several emails between myself and the client, discussing the agreement.
Do I have any legal recourse towards getting this company to pay me for my work? Do I have a right to expect payment during after a certain period of time, even without a specific contract?
Thanks,
S

Re: Website Migration
Yes, you can sue for the outstanding balance. If it is under $5,000, you can sue in small claims court. Otherwise, you can file yourself, or hire an attorney.
