There are quite a few people who claim that there are loopholes that allow Americans to escape the jurisdiction of a court by calling themselves freemen, by filing some supposedly powerful documents, and/or by complaining that the courtroom flag has a gold fringe (which supposedly means the court can only hear admiralty cases). None of it is true.

If charges have been filed against you, the court does not need your consent or a contract to proceed with the case. After all, who would consent to being prosecuted? Law enforcement would be impossible if the law worked that way.
