Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Texas
Common law vs maritime admerality law does the courts need your consent or contract in order to proceed in a hearing with charges against you ie. Stawman vs the Freeman
1 Answer from Attorneys
I'm afraid you're talking nonsense. There are quite a few people who claim that there are loopholes that allow Americans to escape the jurisdiction of a court by calling themselves freemen, by filing some supposedly powerful documents, and/or by complaining that the courtroom flag has a gold fringe (which supposedly means the court can only hear admiralty cases). None of it is true.
If charges have been filed against you, the court does not need your consent or a contract to proceed with the case. After all, who would consent to being prosecuted? Law enforcement would be impossible if the law worked that way.
