Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Texas
Rights of Animal Control officers to enter homes
A friend of mine works in animal rescue. She usually has more animals in her home than is permitted in her city. Yesterday she received a notice from her city's Animal Control officer, saying that the city had received a complaint about the number of animals in her home.
She called the Animal Control officer, who didn't seem terribly concerned. After a short discussion, during which my friend admitted to having more than four animals in the house, the officer suggested that my friend call a few days so he could do a ''walk through'' of her house.
My question is simple: does an Animal Control officer have a legal right to request to enter a home?

Yes. Anyone has the right to ask. If she refuses permission, then he cannot enter without a warrant.
