Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Texas

State of Texas sold my private information w/o my knowledge or permission/right

I have evidence that the State of Texas has been selling copies of their drivers license data base for years for a few thousand a pop. This has directly violated my/our constitutional rights of privacy. Secondly, they then offered a ability for a person to ''opt out'' which constitutes first the removal of your right then the oportunity for each person to be forced to ''reclaim'' it through an administrastive procedure, ie, filling out a form and sending it in. Can texas force me under these conditions to maintain a drivers license?

Unfortunately, yes. The only remedy for this situation is through legislation by the Texas legislature changing existing law.

The problem is that you have no 'rights.' A driving license has always been held to be a privilege, not a right, and the soverign [Texas] can hang most any reasonable or unreasonable requirement on your ability to exercise the privilege.
