My contractor used photos of my unfinished house in a local magazine,
to advertise his business,after I left a message on his phone telling him
no I did not feel comfortable with that. What can I do and How much is
it worth?

A lot may depend upon the language within the contract you signed with the builder. If the contract is silent as to advertising, you do have a case, but it's a weak case.
Evidently the builder is proud of the work he did on your house, and that adds value to your property. Unless he published your address, it's not really an invasion of your privacy.
